ABOUT US 

Pangaea Tribe is an outdoor travel company based in Cape Town, South Africa. Built by a group of Surfers, Mountaineers and Naturalists, our brand was created by outdoor men and women who wanted to share their world through adventures.

Born out of epic journeys into the wild places, Pangaea Tribe was created to reconnect like-minded adventurers with one another and with nature through our niche categories in the travel industry; adventure sports, nature, cultural and culinary immersions all designed to hero our corner of Africa.

In our quest to bring about social and environmental responsibility to our sector of business, we curate premium experiences for inbound and local tourism by supporting local guides and their pursuits, providing guests with authentic adventures in the most remarkable locations on earth.

We believe in the positive reaction of environmental and social responsibility and it is these ideals that are at the core good business practice. OUR AIM

Our aim is to establish ourselves as leaders amongst our peers in the outdoor travel industry, a trusted voice of reliability and ambassadors for environmental and social causes.

We aim to be known as a brand that is readily associated with quality services, fun filled experiences and style. Ou brand aligns itself with athletes, experts and adventurers that share our values. Our target clients are driven by their pursuits to gain enjoyment and fulfillment from the outdoors while they are stoked on giving back to the remarkable places that they travel to.

We are united by a belief in doing things the honest and pure way when designing tailored African adventures. Our aim is to employ self starting men and women who own a shared passion to be outside. They strategize their next adventures together while designing and executing experiences that they would want to do.

A tourism organization buys responsibly when the products and services that it buys minimizes their negative impacts and maximizes their positive impacts on human health and well-being, natural environments, communities, local culture and the local economy. A tourism organization can encourage and support fledgling businesses through mentoring and coaching.

Conserving water

a tourism organization can save water by measuring how much water it uses, setting targets for water usage and taking action to both reduce water usage and reuse wastewater.

A tourism organization can use energy efficiently by measuring how much energy it uses, setting targets for energy usage and taking action to both reduce energy usage. Electricity from the grid, wood, coal, gas and motor fuels like petrol and diesel are energy sources whose use tourism organizations should aim to reduce. Tourism organizations can also look to reduce the percentage of energy used that is created from fossil fuels by making use of renewable energy instead.

Reducing and managing waste

A responsible tourism organization will have a waste management plan with goals for reducing, re-using and recycling waste, and guidelines on how to dispose of waste so that it does not harm either human health or the environment.
